Howdy Sam,
My name is Mark Wystrach and I am the co-owner of The People’s Shoe (www.thepeoplesshoe.com). Elizabeth Olsen sent me through Cabeth Cornelius to get a hold of you.
First off, kudos on Bombastic Plastix! The product is awesome and your process enlightened.
I just got back from Bali last Tuesday with my girlfriend and friend Peter. We were guests of the John Hardy company and had an amazing time. Peter was filming for his internet project, The Green Life which is all about progressive, sustainable companies such as John Hardy and yours. Wish I heard about you before, would have stopped in to do some interviews. My girlfriend and I love Bali and would love to spend some more time there soon!
Anyhow, that leads me to the initial purpose of the email.
I am in the process of finding a manufacturing partner that can help me make the next season (and all seasons henceforth) of The People’s Shoe sustainable or “eco” if you will. I want to make them out of hemp canvas, recycled rubber soles, recycled eyelits, solvent free glues and chemical free dyes, etc. I am having some difficulty finding a manufacturing partner capable of this in smaller runs (3,000-5,000 pairs). We currently sell the shoes in recycled (PET) tote bags, but want to progress to the next, only logical level. The company is growing and I want to be ahead of the curve and do the right thing.
Please check out the webstite and see what we are all about. We are humble, me and my partner and 3 interns and socially conscious (donate a percentage of profits to charity that we work with throughout the year and donate shoes). Watch this video and it will give you a sense of the brand.

Ok Sam, longest email ever! If there is any advice or contacts you have that can help, I will be forever gratefull.
I will have Peter check out your company as well.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Matur Suksma!!!

Hi there. We are in the early stages of setting up a business importing goods made from recycled materials into Australia. My business partner in Melbourne has seen your products in a store. Do you already have a distributor in Australia? Also, can you advise us who stocks your products so we can see more of your range. Many thanks Jane
Hi there,
I am setting up a web business that will sell sustainability focussed goods from around the world. I am interested in selling some of your products via the site and was wondering if you could please send me some wholesale information?
Thanks and kind regards,
Natasha
P.S. I bought one of your bags for my sister-in-law when I was in Bali and she loved it!
P.P.S I tried to send this via the contacts page, but the verification code wasn’t showing

Hi! I’m writing you from Our World 2.0, a United Nations University webmag upon which you recently left a comment and link! I was wondering if you’d agree to an e-mail interview about Bombastic. Also, do you have Skype capabilities?
Please write me back.
Many thanks!
PS: Tried to use your mssg option above instead of this reply/comment format but your captcha image isn’t showing up with Firefox…
Hi Sam,
Well done you guys. I have a a couple of your bags and love love love them to death. The more I use them the more more beautiful they become! I bought them from a lady in Mosman Markets, Sydney, Australia a couple of months ago but haven’t come across her again…I’m really keen to purchase a couple more things and a few for presies. If you know how to get in touch with her, can you please let me know?!
Cheers,
Adriana
